Beach bar Amarcord in Sakarun

Amarcord is a small wooden house located in a former garage of fishermen, which by day serves light meals, salads and snack bar for the customers of the beautiful beach of Sakarun (one of the few Croatian) white sand. Amarcord is located in this beach, near the village of Veli Rat, to the north of Dugi Otok, an island in front of Zadar (Zadar).

In the evening for dinner it turns into a charming restaurant reserves (also for the boats anchored in the bay) where you serve mostly sustainable seafood (at mile zero) caught and prepared by the Croatian owner, Darko, cook and fisherman, under the culinary supervision Italian wife, Beatrice. All accompanied by fine music selections and the beautiful atmosphere of the Sakarun bay at sunset.

Amarcord B&b Skola

“Amarcod Skola” mean “I remember school” in a mix of italian dialect wit Amarcord = I remember (as the title of famous Federico Fellini’s film),and skola = school in croatian language.

it’s a lovely sociable “Bed and Breakfast”, decorated according to a theme or a particular style of the upcycle design, with adaptation of furniture and revised objects with the new function to wrap the clients guests in a retro atmosphere seafaring school vintage, impregnated by salt and echoes schoolchildren who have frequented for nearly 100 years.

Amarcord Skola has a four rooms as B&b, and one big room-dormitory as hostel.Proceeds from the creative restoration of an old elementary school situated on sea front (Pantera Gulf) near the village of Veli Rat ( only 200 m.5 minutes walking ). Where guests can sleep in the single, double, triple rooms, or in a family/group room with 4 beds , have and a common living room where to have breakfast or a small meal.

Outside there is a shaded terrace with a snack bar where to take drink or light meal and break to cool, read a book, make a game of backgammon (or other games provided by the management).While for those who love take a sun we have a wooden platform to ten meters away from the sea border where sunbathing alternating the heat to swim in the crystal clear waters of the nearby sea.

Amarcord Pizza on the beach is the first italian pizzeria directly on the beach, and what kind
of beach ! The beautiful Sakarun in Veli rat, one of the best sandy beach of Croatia .

From next summer 2018 we are on Amarcord Beach Bar in Sakarun, where you could find
different kind of meal and fresh drinks with whom to accompany our unforgettable pizzas!

 

 

Maybe the best pizza in Croatia and the rest of the Adriatic sea, cooked exactly 20
meters far from the sea.

In way to order and eat sitted on the terrace of the Amarcord
Sakarun cottage, but also take away on the beach, and on the sea, and also in your boat, from
